1 | The security system is considered in the article as «operational triad»: warning – prevention – suppression. Special attention is paid precisely to the prevention of illegal acts and the identification of persons, who has unlawful intentions, as well as an approximate algorithm for the application of psychodiagnostics operations ensuring the safety of citizens in public places is reviewed in the article. The algorithm assumes observation of citizens from the closed monitoring centers, that is contactless observation, but doesn’t exclude also direct contact with the checked faces causing suspicion. The algorithm includes the following steps: the organization of professional observation for the purpose of correlation of the speech of the person and his behavior, observation of the movement of crowd or group of people in crowd (all nonverbal signals, any discrepancies are traced), a polling conversation in case of need. At an assessment of the observed phenomena the expert has to not only apply scientific knowledge in the field of psychology, but also actively use all sense organs, intuition, empathy and experience of practical activities. The proposed algorithm allows you to make a hypothetical conclusion about the danger of a citizen, but not about his fault. The operational psychodiagnostics allows to describe psychological and psychophysiological features of the personality by means of the low-formalized methods of a psychological research, allowing to construct rather precisely his “profile” for identification of criminal intentions. 2 | Mental representation is a subjective image of an event or an operational form of mental experience. As the situation changes, the mental experience also changes. The algorithm of selection of educational tasks and a set of methods of psychodidactic orientation of development of mental representations and representative abilities is described: the method of problem selection and the method of creating individual mental maps. The selection method is represented by four main types of tasks: the first type is chosen by the teacher to work with students with a low level of educational and cognitive experience and includes training exercises, as well as techniques for developing cognitive interest and self-regulation skills with the help of a teacher. The second type of tasks is presented by educational texts, the work with which allows to create mental representations, and also forms ability to reflex. The third type of tasks involves testing the ability to supplement the thesaurus with new ways of learning activity. The fourth type includes tasks for the creative application of knowledge by students. The method of creation of individual mental maps assumes formation of abilities at higher level. Activities for creation of mental representations and application of receptions of a reflection in educational activity are the cornerstone of this method. The algorithm presented in the article on development of mental representations of educational texts as a result of use in educational process has shown that mental representations are fixed in different forms of their representation is more integrated into situations of their updating in educational activity. 3 | The question of the organization of independent work of future lawyers studying in higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system is considered. Independent work is defined as one of effective means of development of thinking and the intellectual field of activity. This type of work allows to teach cadets and listeners to work with the training material and scientific information consciously. Readiness is understood as the general psychophysiological state which provides updating of potential opportunities of the personality and is expressed in the mindset to independently carry out the set educational and professional tasks. The psychology and pedagogical technologies allowing to form readiness of students for independent training are indicated: determination of prospects of self-development of a student, drawing up the individual development and training plan (a teacher in this case acts as a tutor), a method of projects, the organization of webinars or any other forms of active interaction for explanation of methods of work with scientific research, Internet resources, teaching aids. Realization of the specified positions allows to update representative abilities of students. 4 | “MASK OF NORMALITY” OF MASS MURDERERS // Pedagogical Review. 2022. Issue 4 (44). P. 144-151 The phenomenon of the “mask of normality” of mass murderers and the key elements of the destructive Columbine youth movement are investigated. The popularity of the destructive Columbine subculture among young people, its cross-border nature, the dynamics of the number of fans growth in the Russian segment of the Internet, morу frequent attempts to implement mass killings in Russian educational institutions determine the relevance of the study. Examples of studies of Columbine, psychopathies, and school shooting are given. The characteristic of the socio-psychological profile of the school shooter’s “mask of normality” is given. The “mask of normality” of a mass murderer manifests itself in a state of mental stability that occurs after a momentary release of unconscious energy. It is described that various forms of psychopathies may have blurred boundaries and possess the qualities of a “normal character”. These forms are also more common in a mixed form and may develop into a deep pathology. The diversity and instability of psychopathies makes it difficult to diagnose and assess the clinical picture and to determine a single diagnosis for the perpetrators of mass murder. Developing a standard of diagnostic tools and a legal framework for the early diagnosis of psychopathic individuals with a “mask of normality” who can potentially join the destructive subculture of Columbine remains an urgent task.
