1 | Specific nature of creation of an artistic image in vocal variety piece has many common features with that of other art forms. This specific nature implies the presence of two aspects: creative, that influence creative abilities of a performer and technical, caused by practical skills in sound performance. Nevertheless, according to musicologists, both creative and technical aspects are in main focus of the activities aimed at the creation of the artistic image, which is preceded by the preparatory, as well as the final stages afterwards. At the same time, the main difficulty in creating of a musical-verbal image in a vocal work is in the multitasking of the actions performed by the artist. In addition to direct technical, intonationally competent performance, the singer must constantly reflect-analyze his activities on the stage and, if necessary, change it, sometimes depending on the reaction of the viewer. In this regard, the pedagogical experience of the step-by-step creation of the artistic image of the vocal piece in work with children in children’s art school was analyzed. A set of methods that develop performing techniques has been developed and tested, including working with the text of a piece, teaching the basics of acting skills. Examples of exercises for the development of the singing voice, for expanding the vocal range, improving the timbre, rhythm, and dynamics of vocal performance are given. The results of the methodology and testing can be of interest for teachers in the vocal class. 2 | The issue of creating a children’s choral studio on the basis of at least two educational organizations - a comprehensive school and the establishment of additional education for children - is being considered. The importance of choral studios from several positions has been analyzed: for children - realization of the creative abilities of each child, development of his general culture, citizenship, vocational orientation to vocal and choral activity, and from the point of view of educational organizations - ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Primary General Education 1-4 grade) in the part of organization of extracurricular activities of schoolchildren; expansion of the interaction spectrum of educational structures; vocational guidance to the music profession. A brief overview of the formation and development of choral art in Russia and at the regional level (on the example of the city of Tomsk) is given and the current situation with children’s choral education is analyzed. Methods for integrating the efforts of the general education school and institutions of additional education for children with the goal of creating a children’s choir is proposed, based on the personal experience of the authors and providing elements of a network form for the implementation of educational programs. 3 | The article analyzes the experience of the organization of research work at the Faculty of Culture and Arts of Tomsk State Pedagogical University in the direction of training masters of 44.01.03 Pedagogical education, orientation (profile) Music. The role and place of the research work of students in the formation of professional competencies, in increasing the motivation to learn, expanding the research qualities of the future teacher is substantiated. The main directions and tasks of research work in the system of pedagogical training of students-musicians are indicated. The essence, content and forms of organization of research work of students in higher education institutions are considered, aimed at creating a system of theoretical knowledge and practical skills that allow to form attitudes towards science as a priority tool for diagnosis, design, forecasting and improvement of pedagogical practice in music education. Despite the presence of significant scientific developments, methodological recommendations, the effectiveness and efficiency of students’ research work still leaves much to be desired: the majority of future teachers have an incomplete or distorted understanding of this aspect of vocational training, in addition, they have no practically or present fragmentary relevant methodological knowledge and skills. The overwhelming number of students and a significant part of teachers are not aware of the social and personal significance of research activities, their place in vocational training, the general cultural development of a personality, its self-realization and effectiveness. There is still a certain inconsistency in the methods of managing the research work of students. Practice shows that the organization of research work of students contributes to improving the quality of training, the growth of scientific and pedagogical qualifications of teachers and scientific and pedagogical workers, the direct use of significant scientific potential to accelerate scientific and social development and achieve relevant results.
